PART DESCRIPTION
Factory replacement shift indicator trim panel.
This predominantly plastic part has the cutout for the gear shift knob, it indicates the gear in use with P R N D M lettering and red lights, has the Winter Mode toggle, it covers the guts to the shifter assembly. There is no circuitry/electronics/bulbs included with it, but underneath are the rubbery contact pads (imagine opening up a calculator or other small device with a keypad) that make contact with such things. This is a fragile part, so try & be real careful when replacing.
Note: the rubbery shifter blind, prone to failure, lies under this.
