Standard 98-00 V70s use these struts instead
PART DESCRIPTION
These are the original equipment struts made by Sachs for Volvo. V70 XCs use struts unique to the Cross Country line, enabling them to ride higher than regular V70s. Other stores may point you to part number 9173850 struts, which we also sell, but they are NOT the same size as the ones that came on your car. You will want part number 9191569 struts (these ones). Saying that #9173850 struts 'fit' your car is a half-truth. They WILL look similar & even install, but mixing & matching an XC strut with a non-XC strut on opposite sides would prove to be a bad move once the car is actually driven, and even if you replaced both sides, your ride would now be lower than it was when it came out of the factory.
