1990-1993 Volvo 240 Wagon Antenna Mast Kit

Here we have an OEM complete replacement kit for a manual/non-power antenna. On these late 240 wagons, the antenna mast is always fixed-position and it mounts on the driver's side rear pillar at the top corner, at the tailgate. Because they don't retract, they're more prone to snapping off.

The end of the black rod has a 'female' threaded barrel which screws onto the 'male' base. The base is the visible black plastic casing & threaded stud, with a metal end on the inside that connects to an internal wire. When the mast manages to snap off, it usually takes the male threads that used to stick up from the base with it, in which case a new antenna mast only wouldn't help much. This kit gives you the base and the mast.

Also in the kit is the internal antenna cable & a small rubber boot, plus an installation tool & install guide done up by Volvo.
