This 3-prong bulb holder is a direct replacement socket for the front corner light assembly on any 90-92 740. It's also backwards compatible with both the turn signal & corner light bulbs on all 85-89 740s, which originally had a 2-prong socket (so with this, you'll simply have one prong not in use).
