Volvo S40 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensors

Four cylinder S40s (2000 to early 2004 models) have what we call a fuel pressure regulator instead. For all S40s, the fuel regulator or sensor is located on the end of the fuel rail.

These sensors on 5 cylinder S40s (FRPS for short) are going bad now, throwing check engine lights (diagnostics indicating CEL codes P0191 or P0192) and causing significant driving issues such as momentary losses of power & even stalls.
