PART DESCRIPTION

This hinged lid made of black plastic attaches under the leather-look armrest cover. It has the lid release on it, but that usually doesn't go bad. Replacement of your lower lid half is warranted when the plastic snaps off at the back end, usually leaving broken bits stuck in the console hinge's metal tabs.

This piece is the likely suspect with any broken XC90 console.
